New Dining Experiences Coming to Kruger National Park
SANParks has announced the appointment of new restaurant operators across several popular Kruger camps to refresh the visitor dining experience.
Fresh Flavours in the Bush
Visitors to the Kruger National Park can look forward to a revamped culinary experience as SANParks introduces new restaurant operators at several key rest camps. The move follows a competitive tender process aimed at upgrading tourism facilities and enhancing the overall guest experience.
What to Expect at Your Favourite Camps
As part of the transition, several well-known dining spots are undergoing rebranding and refurbishment to offer fresh concepts and menus:
- Lower Sabie: The former Mugg & Bean will be replaced by the new Sabie River Café.
- Pretoriuskop: The existing Wimpy will be transformed into Le Lapeng Burgers and Grill.
- Berg-en-Dal: Tindlovu Restaurant is set to become the new Eziko Eatery.
- Skukuza: The popular Cattle Baron will undergo a significant refurbishment to provide a modernised look and feel.
Ensuring Continuity
SANParks has confirmed that temporary dining facilities with limited menus will remain operational during the refurbishment periods to ensure that guests are not left without options. The organisation has expressed its appreciation for visitor patience during this transition period.
These upgrades are expected to contribute to local job creation and economic growth while ensuring that the park's infrastructure remains world-class. Guests are encouraged to check the official SANParks website for updates on specific reopening dates for each venue as the upgrades progress over the coming months.
