SANParks has officially announced that the 21st annual SA National Parks Week will take place from 7 to 13 September 2026. This initiative is designed to encourage South Africans to explore the country's diverse protected areas and foster a deeper connection with our natural and cultural heritage.
Important Access Details
While the campaign runs for the week, visitors should note specific conditions for certain parks:
- Kruger, West Coast, and Augrabies Falls: Free access is limited to weekdays only, from Monday 7 to Friday 11 September 2026.
- Exclusions: The Namaqua National Park, the Boulders Penguin Colony, and the Table Mountain Aerial Cableway are not included in the free access offer.
